Pop Cans For Paws!!!

Each quarter of the calendar year we identify a key initiative that relates to sustainability, and our company's mission of giving back. We were so fortunate to partner with the Eau Clair County Humane Association.
Heres how to contribute:

Handsome’s Story (as told by ECCHA Staff)

This sweet boy came to us as a stray on a cold, overcast, Wednesday in February 2015. He was in rough shape, and not just from the -21°F wind chill. He came to us completely blind and with a significant head wound, which may have induced the blindness.

We asked supporters of ECCHA to help Handsome by donating to cover the cost of having him neutered and removing his right eye. We needed to ask for donations because our emergency medical fund was already depleted. He was fostered by Emmy, a wonderful supporter of animals at the ECCHA, who cared for him while he recovered from his operations.

Handsome was adopted a couple months later, and over time vision has returned to his remaining eye. According to his forever family, Handsome now loves to watch birds and chase the cat laser. He is affectionate and gentle, often curling up on their bellies to sleep or rollover for a belly and chin rub. Handsome is also very patient and loving and is a protector and best friend of their young child.

Handsome’s adopted family shared this vignette in an update: “On a visit to see family, Handsome took a stance with the family dog, a large German Shepard, when she came to lick our child. Handsome sent the large dog away with her tail between her legs! Handsome is truly fearless.”

This second chance at a forever home would not have been possible without donations from our supporters and community. Please help the animals in need by collecting your aluminum cans. This is an easy task that will have a tremendous impact if we all work together.
